The Story Behind Marlo M’s “Seedlings”

Every season, my mother would diligently work her green-thumbed magic with some fertile soil and a few tiny seeds to create a lush garden in our backyard. When I was old enough to help, she taught me how to sow the seeds and nurture them every day. It was encouraging to learn that even if a seed was planted upside down, it would find its way to the surface. As we watched the seedlings grow, I realized how strong they had to be to survive the elements and various pests. No matter what the odds, my mother was always there, protecting them and helping them to grow and strive for fruition.

Today, my Seedlings serve as a gentle reminder of the life lessons my mother passed on to me:

Growth happens,
      even when you're not watching...
When life seems upside-down,
      you can always find your way up...
Struggling through the elements
      only makes you stronger...
and sometimes,
      you just need a good watering.

I hope my Seedlings will protect and encourage you to embrace growth and strive for fruition with open arms.
